A Randomized Controlled Trial of the RISE Program for Nurses
The purpose of this randomized controlled trial (RCT) is to determine whether the RISE Program impacts resilience, insight, self-compassion, empowerment, and other aspects of mental and physical well-being among nurses. There is evidence showing high prevalence of anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and burnout among nurses in a critical care setting. This may result from stressful work environments, increasing workloads, ethical dilemmas, and high rates of patient morbidity and mortality. The RISE Program was developed with the aims to enhance self-care, protect against burnout, and build resilience among AdventHealth nurses.
