Overview

Dr. Daniel T. Layish, MD is a board-certified internal medicine, pulmonary disease, critical care and sleep medicine physician. Dr. Layish earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. He went on to complete his internship and medical residency at Barnes Hospital Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Layish finished his medical training with a fellowship at Duke University Medical Center. He has special interest in pulmonary hypertension, sleep disorders, cystic fibrosis, alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency, lymphangiolyomyomatosis. An established part of the medical community, Dr. Layish has served in a variety of leadership positons, including Medical Director of Winter Park Memorial Hospital ICU, Medical Director of Winter Park Memorial Hospital Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program, Co-director of Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program, Associate Professor at the University of Central Florida School of Medicine, Clinical Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at FSU College of Medicine, Medical Director of the Respiratory Therapy and Sleep Programs at Valencia Community College, and Director of the Clinical Resource Center for the Alpha-1 Foundation.
