Dr. Navaneethan completed his M.D. at the Madras Medical College, followed by residency training at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He was inducted to Alpha Omega Alpha honor society during his residency training and subsequently pursued a gastroenterology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He then underwent advanced training in ERCP, EUS and therapeutic interventions in IBD also at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr Navaneethan is a therapeutic endoscopist with particular expertise in IBD. He has published more than 120 peer-reviewed articles and has authored several textbook chapters focusing on the endoscopic management of IBD. His research and clinical focus is on therapeutic endoscopy in IBD, chromoendoscopy for early diagnosis of colon cancer in IBD, Primary sclerosing cholangitis, ERCP and cholangioscopy and early diagnosis of pancreatobiliary cancers through bile biomarkers.
