Overview
Dr. Marcelo DaSilva is the Medical Director of Thoracic Surgery for AdventHealth Orlando. He joined our leadership team in Central Florida from Boston, MA, where he was a thoracic surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Chief of Thoracic Surgery at Care New England, and a Lecturer in Surgery at Harvard Medical School. He also undertook an elite fellowship in trauma and critical care at Penn State, where he was granted the Bristol-Myers Squibb Scholars of Surgery award for outstanding achievements. In 2007, he was honored to receive The Mark Young International Medical Studies Scholarship to participate in the Third Annual World Health Care Congress in Barcelona, Spain, alongside Nobel Prize recipient Dr. Bernard Kouchner.
